Minister of Endowments and Islamic Affairs reviews progress on FatwaTok

Doha, Qatar – 29 December 2025: His Excellency Mr. Ghanem bin Shaheen bin Ghanem Al Ghanim, Minister of Endowments and Islamic Affairs, accompanied by the Ministry’s Undersecretary, Sheikh Dr. Khalid bin Mohammed Al Thani, met at the Ministry’s headquarters with the iHorizons team responsible for developing and supervising the Smart Fatwa Platform ‘FatwaTok.’

During the meeting, His Excellency was briefed by Mr. Muhammed Takriti, CEO at iHorizons, on the how the platform operates and its approach to receiving inquiries and issuing Sharia rulings and how artificial intelligence is used to support accurate and timely answers under the supervision of qualified scholars. The meeting underlined the Ministry’s ongoing interest in raising the quality of its online religious services. The discussion highlighted the role of FatwaTok in supporting the Ministry’s digital services and enhancing public access to reliable Sharia guidance.

His Excellency praised the efforts made by iHorizons in developing the platform, stressing the importance of continuous enhancement to ensure accuracy, reliability, and responsiveness to community needs.

For his part, the Undersecretary. Sheikh Dr. Khalid bin Mohammed Al Thani, noted that FatwaTok aligns with the Ministry’s digital transformation objectives, providing a streamlined service through which questions are addressed by qualified scholars and specialists and the wider plan to make fatwa services accessible to Muslims around the world.

Launched on 15th March 2025, FatwaTok offers interactive features such as saving and sharing fatwas, concise browsing, and user engagement tools. The platform is built on an approved database of fatwas from ‘Islamweb’ supervised by specialized scholars, ensuring credibility while presenting content in a format aligned with modern usage preferences.

The meeting concluded with an emphasis on advancing the Ministry’s digital services and appreciation for the efforts of the iHorizons team in delivering this initiative.
